Tattoo Aftercare
There are more ways to care of a new tattoo. Proper tattoo care is a very important for a nice and well-healed tattoo. Each method has some advantages and disadvantages.
Our method is proven by many years of practice in tattoo business and has been tested on our own bodies. We do not claim that this method is the only correct and the best, but we claim that we use it to treat our own tattoos to our full satisfaction.
- Remove the protective film after about 2 hours and wash the tattoo with calm water and soap. After washing, dry the tattooed area with a clean towel or napkin. Take care to prevent infection.
- After 2-3 days apply a thin layer of healing cream (Bepanthen Plus, or similar) to the tattooed area. Repeat application of the ointment whenever you feel that the tattoo is dry and stretched.
- Tattoos may or may not create scabs. Do not tear the scabs and do not scratch the tattooed place! In the second and third week, oil the tattoo only as needed (if it is still dry) until the skin is completely regenerated.
- During the healing process we do not recommend you a longer bathing, visit the sauna and solar facilities, as well as performing demanding sports activities. Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours after the tattoo is complete. Limit their use even during the healing process. Maintain hygiene only by taking short shower and applying the ointment. Please note that UV radiation and also aging of the skin can make some changes that may occur on the tattoo. Therefore, take care of tattoos by using skin creams containing vitamin E regularly.
